The kitchen is at the center of KALØVIG Center – both in location and in significance. It is placed exactly in the middle of the house and both guests and staff often come by and enjoy the delicious smells from pots and pans. We have also worked some magic to make the smells reach the curious nostrils more easily… Have a sniff when passing the kitchen!
We use many organic ingredients in the kitchen, and for a minor additional cost we can prepare entirely organic meals. In the kitchen the guests are pampered with the preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between… such as midnight snacks and other delights. We put great emphasis on vegetables and fruits and on highlighting the good things we eat. That is why we always present the menu for our guests at lunch- and dinnertime.
We have successfully started producing many good products our selves. This year we had the joy of harvesting grapes, apples, red currant, gooseberries, blackberries, quinces and herbs from our garden, and our bees have been working hard all summer to make a solid stock of honey which will last throughout the year.
Very often our guest linger around the kitchen door after lunch or dinner to ask for a recipe or two. We are very pleased about this interest in our cuisine and are happy to share the secrets.
